DATE: June 23, 2022... OCCASION: the start of a boys-only weekend couples with the NBA draft--let's go Cavs!--for an exciting night and a nice GF offering... this crackles with life, its churning bubbles building, then tearing down its foaming, off-white head that roils in a swirling eddy... its body is a hazy, murky orange yellow.... big wafts of tangerine, orange, lemon, robust hard fruits, sweet millet, cracker, and some flowery esters... its aroma is enticing, especially for a GF offering... effervescent, biting at the teeth, sweet at the tongue, and smooth at its exit... avoids a syrupy experience, which is a plus for its ingredients... the aroma promise is fulfilled in its profile, a blast of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, apple, millet, and resin... this is easily a go-to for me, a GF offering that delivers the feel and effect of an NE IPA... not as milky or thick as the usual, but this gives a lot to like...keep making beer, Departed Soles!
