Larger two-finger head to start. This does settle to surface film. There are some minor spots left on the glass after each sip. The liquid is straw colored with a mild chill haze.
The smell is creamy with a light malt sweetness. There's a floral hop nose in the background. As the beer empties the glass, I picked up on the elevated alcohol level.
The taste is closest to the Czech version of the Pilsner. The body is neutral and the carbonation higher than most Pilsners. The flavor is mostly drier malt initially. The bitterness is stronger than a Helles, naturally, but doesn't have the complexity I associate with the style. The finish reminds me of how yeast can bitter a beer, but I don't taste any yeast here. Despite the aroma, I don't experience any elevated alcohol.
