August 2011: 330 ml bottle, from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. ABV is 8%. Copper colour, clear first, hazy when the yeast is poured in. Large off-white head. Moderate but nice aroma, hints of spices and brown kandij sugar. Nice enough to drink, malts, caramel, a little spice. Okay.
Earlier Rating: 3/13/2011 Total Score: 3.6 330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 8.5%. Dark amber to copper colour, cloudy in the end, big off-white head. Malty aroma with notes of brown bread and caramel, hints of brown kandi sugar and oak. The flavour is malty and medium sweet with notes of caramel, brown sugar and brown bread, some spicy notes too, moderate hops in the finish. Warming mouthfeel. Quite nice.

Pours a deep, complex ruby red with a nice creamy head of about 2 fingers. Smell is a mixture of dried fruits, roasted malts and some peatiness/earthy tones. Tastes full in the mouth with hints of the fruits, some nuts, maybe a coffee or rich caramel. Finishes big but smooth. A very drinkable beer especially for a Triple.

Pours a deep ruby red color with an off white almost tan head that fades leaving a nice amount of lacing around the glass.
Smell is of roasted malts, caramel, and rubbing alcohol.
Taste is of caramel and roasted malts up front, brown sugar, followed by a dry veggie aftertaste. Alcohol warms as it goes down. Various other spices in there as well. Some flavors are a bit hard to describe.
The taste overall of the beer is great, the finish has a nice dryness but there is a strange aftertaste that doesn't fit.
