A multi-dimensional sour due to kettle souring and the tartness of pomegranite. This is evened out by the hefty sweetness of a Belgian style Quad.

Draft at the brewery early this afternoon.. Christ, I don't know how my buddies can commit to VERY early afternoon beering. That said, I am super stoked to get a big 'ole pour of this mostly black brew... Thin light tan head... Cocoa up front in the nose and it immediately gives back to sour and lesser Pomegranate notes.. Flavor has a huge tartness that hits hard in the palate and the belly. Just hints of dark malt but the sour notes really come home as it warms up... Surprisingly well done.. No joke.. One of my buddies picked up a membership based solely on this and their harvest brew. Very impressed.. Hoping Barbarian doesn't misfire on their coming brews, because they've nailed every one of the public releases so far.
