Little Wolf is a well-balanced IPA that has notes of tropical fruits and hints of pine with just the right amount of bittering hops added.

On-tap at the brewery, Garden City ID; lightly-hazed straw/gold pour with a small fluffy off-white head; I like the hop character on this one, works well at the lower ABV level; smooth and faintly tropical; piney; dry; semi-bitter; smooth and clean.

very solid ipa here, the key is freshness, because the recipe isnt all that interesting, unlike so many of the other barbarian beers i have had so far, but the execution is there. deep bronze to golden and clear and frothy headed from the tap at their brewery. high resin hop aroma, a light mosaic cat thing going on, but insanely fresh, with some sticky pine tar and a hint of menthol or something opening and herbaceous and pungent, not overly unique by any stretch, but well built and nicely hopped. i like it having some bitterness, the style seems to be going away from that, but here we have a bite in the finish and some balance throughout to go with the woodsy hops. subtle citrus, weed, and pine from the hops, a little but more fragrant than flavorful, and a fuller pale barley malt base that really gives it some structure. its oily and almost dank to drink on, which i like in terms of texture, and the carbonation is there to make the finish clean enough for the style. cool beer overall, i liked the imperial version too. these guys are making some of the best beers in boise right now, i have been stoked on almost all of them, and they certainly rank right up there with woodland empire for the most ambitious beers in town as well!

Growler from Albertsons. Nice initial entry from Boise latest brewery. Clear copper color, small foamy head. Nice welcoming hop aroma. Taste follows with some light citrus notes. Slick and slippery mouth feel. This going to give some of our local IPAs a run for their money.

Pours very clear orangish... Foamy white head...nice retention and lacing... Pretty proper PNW IPA across the board ... fruity and lesser pithy citrus hops aroma with a good standard bitterness that melts back quickly into the hop flavor... Pale maltiness is very light and that is good, but a bit bigger body would be better in my book. Decent IPA for sure, but it is going to need to be more than an afterthought to really grab hold of people's interest.
