Aged in a whiskey barrel with Brettanomyces, this Belgian Brown is tart and funky with a good whiskey character.

Draft at the brewpub today pours slightly hazed amber brown... Spicy yeasty notes remind me of white pepper... light raisin and then a long dark toasty malt element rounds things out nicely... light tartness with warmth... and only with warmth does the barrel come out to compliment the brown malt essence nicely. Pretty well done.

On tap at brewery. Pours out flat, but picks up with a sweet, woody aroma. Taste follows with sweetness, malty, minor barrel notes. Dark, clear brown, caramel, toffee, chocolate in small quantities. Light body.
