Taster at downtown taproom. Hazy golden pour, wispy head. Aroma doesnt tell much, taste adds some light fruity, peach flavors. Overall, pretty gentle.

this beer is pure magic, definitely one of my favorites i have had from barbarian so far. its a hazy pale ale, done with fresh idaho gem hops, vanilla, lactose, and a ton of peaches. usually i dont care for this sort of thing, it always seems hipster and forced, trying to hard, but this just is sensational. the relationship between the peaches and the hops is what makes it special i reckon, some ripe natural sweetness from the fruit and a neat melony herbal complexion from the hops, truly a unique combination in both the aroma and the flavor. the lactose and vanilla are somewhat subtle, they certainly arent overdone in here, and they seem to highlight the peach nicely in the flavor without making the beer too desserty overall. i really like the fresh hops in this, a little green in the nose but all fruity in the flavor, as fruity as this is overall, its still hoppy beer too, and thats a hard thing to pull off this well. its a little dense feeling and maybe a touch under carbonated, but the flavors are epic, and these guys have really done something special here. this could be my favorite of their beers to date, top five for sure! not to be missed while its around. the best beer i had at the fresh hop festival i think!
