16 oz crowler from brewery. Clear, medium golden pour, tiny ring of head. Aroma is nougat and chocolate, very apropos. Taste brings more of the candy bar flavors in, very close, but maybe just a bit too much on the peanut side. Nitpicking I know, but its pretty damn tasty.

16oz crowler poured into a Surly snifter.
A: Whelp there it is - crystal clear GOLD with good carbonation and a white head that fades quickly. Its a golden stout.
S: Nutty, milk chocolate, biscuity, peanuts, candy bar sweetness...I mean 'Snickers' is darn near right on as a descriptor.
T: Sweetness, vanilla, caramel, nutty, biscuity, lactose, milk chocolate, dry peanuts.
MF: Simple, sweet, lighter body. lower carbonation.
O: This is really fun and the flavors and aromas hit the mark for me. This definitely has the sweetness and character of a Pastry Stout; however (as with most Golden Stouts) I believe this beer would be even better is the backdrop was a roasty dark malt stout. It would only add that dark chocolate/roasted malt character, which I don't believe would cover up the Snickers sweetness. But overall, a good beer.
