16oz crowler poured into a teku.
A: Pours a lovely opaque purple color, really no other way to explain it. Minimal head and no lacing, but the body makes you envision the lovely notes of blueberry and pomegranate that you will soon be experiencing.
S: Disappointing nose of light tart berries (blueberries and raspberries), hints of a lemon tartness and a slight sweetness (malt?). Not much else.
T: Unfortunately follows the nose, it is very light in flavors and there is a touch of something slightly unpleasant and funky, which sounds like it would work on a sour beer but just leaves the palate disjointed. The berry character is soft and frankly watery.
MF: Light and thin.
O: Not very flavorful, not puckering, not strongly fruity, and not even refreshing - it is supposed to be a lightly sour ale, I understand, but it doesn't work that well in my mind. One of the few beers I've had in recent memory that I didn't finish.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
