definitely a kettle sour not a wild ale as its listed here. this is a weird one for me, tasty enough in small doses, but a couple of things strike me as odd. first, who makes a mojito from mix? its such a simple drink, just make it! second, im not sure the base sour here is very good, it comes across a little flat, weighty, and overly simple, without the flavoring im guessing is rather generic and unimpressive. the mojito elements are there in aroma and flavor through, even if the beer doesnt look like much in the glass. the mint is intense, almost at mouthwash level, and it clashes with the sourness immediately, seems sort of artificial too, i probably wouldnt love the cocktail this mix yields. spearmint it seems like to me. the lime is there, but is not fresh or zesty or essential to me, and is kind of lost to the sourness this has, lactic and fairly clean, but uninteresting. not a ton from the malt either, this is juicy more than beery. the flavor agrees with the nose, some sweetness making the mint seem almost candied, but its medicinal rather than fresh, menthol and acid, a weird combination for sure. i guess i like how pungent it is, no denying what this is supposed to be, but as i taste it i cant help thinking real mint and limes would have been the way too go. a little overly acidic, a long just brushed teeth sort of cooling exhale, strange drink for sure, should be better than it is. one of the few beers ive had in here that outright seems cheap to me...

Crowler fill from the brewery poured into a snifter.
A: Moderately hazy straw color, cloudy but not turbid, minimal fizzy off-white head. Looks like the cocktail.
S: Whoa, huge mint and big lime backing it up...this is crazy...big honeyed malt backbone too, wildflower honey...herbal and herbaceous with a sweet core.
T: Really nice, refreshing and slightly sour. Lime and mint, lemon and herbs, spritzy and slightly sweet-but-grainy malt backbone reminds you its a beer.
MF: Light, spritzy, and refreshing.
O: Impressive mojito-clone, not ‘sour’ per-se, but totally authentic and accurate to the cocktail. Great summery sipper too.
