16oz crowler poured into a snifter. Review from notes:
A: Chill-hazed gold with minimal white head that fades fast.
S: Lemony lactose and lots of sugary sweetness reminiscent of a sugary breakfast cereal. Kind of a modern fruit punch medley; raspberry, Fruit Loops, etc.
T: Same on the palate, fairly smooth with lemony tartness and lactose/sweetness rounding it out. I'm almost sure there is a hint of the alcohol warmth in here too - lots of artificially fruity cereal notes. Finishes with a flash of vanilla character.
MF: Smooth body that leans towards a heavier medium without being syrupy.
O: Another Golden Dessert Stout from Barbarian. It is good, and what makes it good are those notes of sugary breakfast cereal that shine through perfectly, so this one hits the target for a fruity cereal clone. However, it doesn't land as much for me in overall enjoyment. Still, well-executed.
