a peach and blueberry sour, equal parts of both, both very natural, and a neat combination of fruit overall, they did a nice job with this. it is a very familiar barbarian sour profile though, quite piquant with a little bit of vinegar character, something that shows up in many of their sours, very bacterial, less funk, but the fruit shines, as intended i assume, not many accidents here generally speaking. the peaches are sweet and ripe and fuzzy and up front ahead of the blueberry in aroma and in favor, while the berries have some skinny tartness and peak summer sweetness, they go very well together. this is certainly colored aggressively by the blueberry, but the two fruits are on par in terms of the flavor. like a lot of these, its a little short on carbonation for me, i really want this to pop and it doesnt, and its just a little more sour than i want to drink a bunch of, not harsh or overcooked or anything, but still more of a sipper than a drinker for my tastes. as a showcase of these fruits in natural form and what they can do together, this is really solid. less compelling as a sour in general, but again, more personal that objective criticism. it always blows my mind just how many ambitious beers these guys do, and its impressive how good most of them are. definitely one of the best breweries in town!
