this is really fantastic ipa, maybe the best hoppy beer they have ever made, it impressed me on a number of levels, but mostly because i think this new nectaron hop is the future, mark my words its the next mosaic or something, everyone is going to be after it, and this beer is a cool showcase of its complexity. to me its drippy ripe stone fruit but also the classic new zealand melon and lush herbal aspect too, amazing they get both of these attributes in the same botanical and that they both come through like this in the beer, wow. i was shocked by the color too, its almost white, like actually white, milky super pale and frothy headed, maybe paler than any beer ive seen, thick yes, but ghostly. ripe peach and cantaloupe in the nose and taste, lime leaf and lemongrass and meyer lemon and zested orange too, a light banana tone, and a green grape thing as well, super fruity but also very dry. the ferment is cleaner here than it has been in some of their other hoppy beers, and the grain gives body but stays super dry and minimal on the flavor. no real bitterness here, just a little bit on the swallow. i think i love nectaron hops, maybe some other varietals in here too, but the nectaron specifically makes this awesome. maybe a little heavier in texture than i want to drink five of, but a couple for sure. delicious, modern, even challenging and unique, loved it!

A: Thickly hazy pale gold poured into my BB snifter from a 16oz canned 12/23; big white fluffy head laces very well.

S: Strong stone fruit and tropical hops on the nose; nectarine and apricot come to mind, with mango and citrus as well.

T: Moderately hoppy with a dose of moderate bitterness; nectarine and apricot are at the forefront again, with some mild pine character and hints of banana and bready sweetness (wheat?) as well as some simple green grape from the Nelson hops. Mild citrus as well.

MF: Fluffy medium body that drinks very easily; smooth with lower carbonation and bitterness.

O: Delicious hazy IPA with some unique stone fruit qualities.
