Incredibly excited to try this one; just-released 16oz can cracked and poured into my Barbarian snifter.
A: Dark brown pour fills the glass with jet-black liquid; a small mocha-colored head fizzles away.
S: Roasty and nutty dryness, accompanied by mellow notes of whiskey, chocolate, and mild sweetness. Not earth-shattering by any means but definitely inviting, with a healthy dose of roasted peanut butter.
T: The palate agrees with the nose with that roasty, nutty dry peanut butter character cutting through the dark malt and chocolatey bourbon undertones; mild sweetness carries impressions of caramel and vanilla, but the dry toasted nuttyness is still the star.
MF: Doesn't quite feel like 12% but still drinks like a sipper with a full-bodied presence and mild alcohol.
O: A good Morrigan variant, I wanted a little more peanut butter, chocolate, and bourbon all the way around, but those are just my high expectations and this was still very tasty.
