made with tropical punch nerds candy and tropical punch kool aid, sounds gimmicky, sugary, and too new school to taste good, but thats not true at all and somehow this is delicious and actually still a gose too, impressive for what it is, much as its still a novelty. its pinkish and hazy, pale and without a big head from the tap, visually fine but unremarkable. the smell and the taste on the other hand, very remarkable, weirdly good, big orange and pineapple notes, not even all that fake to me. some confectioners sugar in the mix, maybe a little red coloring which i am sensitive to, and all sorts of flavors like peach rings, raspberry, lemon candy, and definitely old school fruit punch. its not too sour though which is nice, does have a little saltiness for balance and a faster finish, and seems like a solid base beer before it was all jazzed up, so that is always appreciate in this sort of thing, its not dependent on the extras to be good. these guys are always brewing up crazy beers and they have done plenty with candy before, but this was surprisingly enjoyable by the glass, mission accomplished.
