oddly enough this beer isnt all that blonde, definitely an amber tone to it, still rather pale, but yellow is not the color here, big tall white head on it from the tap at their downtown spot. i can immediately smell that its orange blossom honey specifically in the mix, floral and springy with sweet citrus character even in front of the malt, which is simple but not overly light, the most mild bready note to it but short of baked or cooked or anything to me, and the fermentation seems clean without much yeast profile. the honey really does dominate the flavor, cool how much of it i can appreciate without this being particularly sweet, nice job with that, its almost waxy and summery, takes me to a different time of year, the next best thing to vacation i guess. good balance from the grain though, pretty clean to finish, and lots of cut flowers and juicy citrus depth to this, lots of flavor and even body for something this low in alcohol and in a style not known for its robustness most of the time. the honey drives this and its delicious. well made beer overall too, the quality is high and this is objectively very solid. cool use of the honey, distinct for a blonde ale...
