not exactly a berliner, but not a fruited kettle sour either, as there isnt any fruit in this, but its a quick soured golden brew with arnold palmer mix in it and black tea, another weird one from these guys where strange artificial ingredients are combine with real ones, this is neat for the summer, but to me a little sugary and overly acidic, kind of a novelty brew, although its also pretty clever and well done for what it is. cool cans from the brewery on this, havent see this label before, a little matte and not quite clear, and it pours with a decent head but it fades real quick, not an overly impressive pour. it smells good, probably my favorite part of this, that powdered lemonade concentrate i loved when i was a kid, some of the sugar with the tartness too, and the herbal bitterness of the tea, hints of orange and wheat underneath, but this really is about the sourness and the added ingredients. the flavor is less compelling than the aroma, partly because so much of it is run over by the excessive sourness, a common theme in a lot of their beers, just too sour to want to drink a lot of, but its not all bacterial, some is from the lemonade powder. the tea is neat though, my favorite part of this, herbal and fresh and bitter, itd be cool with just tea and lemon, no need for the powder, but i guess thats part of the draw for many. i think it warms up pretty favorably, more tea, never more sour, and at the end of the day, good lemonade is pretty sour too, maybe i am being too critical there. its summery and fun, and thats the point. these guys always find ways to be interesting!
