another rather acidic sour ale made with weird ingredients, this time gushers candy, no kidding! what a blast from the past. they also add strawberry and kiwi fruit to this, continuing their tradition of putting real with artificial ingredients in their whacky sours. this has no color from the candy, looks like a berliner, hazy wheaty colored beer without hardly any head from the can. it smells so strange, straight up blue raspberry character, like a slushy from the old days, some strawberry kiwi candy flavor too, almost melted popsicle there, seems coopted by the gushers, more candy than real fruit to me, and the sourness is lemony and real acidic, this is immediately weird but captivating. the flavor is straight up blue raspberry blow pop, cant believe it, and i can definitely taste and even feel gushers when i let it happen, tart kiwi works well here, and i dont even really mind the sweetness, if you want a gushers candy beer for whatever reason, this is it, an itch i always wanted to have scratched? hardly, but it tastes good. more sour than it needs to be, like so many of their beers, and under carbonated too, not the texture this seems to want, but they got max flavor from the candy so i think its a success overall. a small doses thing, but a fun one. thanks to my homie for sharing these cans with me!
