solid pils here, a little fuller flavored and bodied than the most refreshing of them, and maybe gets lost in the shuffle of the style when all examples available in boise are considered, but its a nice basic drinker to have on their menu among all the funny sours and stouts and things they do, necessary, and i think its pretty well executed overall. golden in color, rather clear but not immaculately so, short creamy white head from the tap. definite has some european character to it on the grain side, crackery, off dry, classic pils complexion but sturdy too, herbal hops all through it as well, presents as fresh and pretty dialed in on the ferment. the flavor is grain driven, well ahead of yeast or hops, a little german thing to it specifically even though its in the czech style. the hop bitterness is middle of the road but the hop flavor is bold, its all through this not just on the finish as is the case in many of these, i get green tea, honeysuckle, dried grass clippings, and faint apple, all pleasant, and it makes this distinct a little bit. its not heavy in body but with all the flavor it drinks a little slower than patio pounder pace, and im not sure thats what i was after with this when i ordered it, but i appreciate the effort and think they did it right. good to see something a little more classically styled in here! their new place has been popping off!

Taste at downtown Taproom clear golden, head disappears. Barely there grainy aroma, taste too. Light, faint bitter bite. Could use a small boost across all rateable area.
