Taster at downtown taproom. Black pour with a tight creamy head, thick lacing coats the glass. Aroma is squarely on the roast malts, taste adds sweetness with a fair amount of bitterness. Aroma is unassuming, while taste grabs the tastebuds and paints them with lingering bitterness. A hark back to the early days of the CDA.
