Draft at Barbarian Downtown. Hazy peach colored pour, ring of white head. Citrusy aroma, orange, tangerine. Taste continues the citrus, very minor notes of vanilla. A decent amount of tartness, very sweet too.

this is a different beer than their orange creamsicle, they took this dessert berliner and reduced the abv and then made it a smoothie style, by adding a ton of vegan frozen yogurt to it, a weird choice, and i cant say i prefer this over the original, although the experimentation and the use of vegan ingredients deserves a tip of the cap. this is messy looking orange colored and thick to the point of being unappealing immediately, no head at all, body like jelly. the nose is the best part of this, natural juicy orange to me with some oily character and bitterness from zest and pith, makes it especially authentic, and the vanilla is bold and enriching, nice with the acidity of the souring and of the citrus. i get some weird yogurt character though thats unpleasant, and very little from the grain, smells like melted ice cream. the flavor isnt as good as the nose, there is a weird almost chemical aspect to it, the sourness isnt as clean or as moderate as i remember in the original, and there is very little here to make this drink anything like a beer, especially with all the body, its so heavy its kind of nasty, but it is smooth i suppose. the vanilla is a little overdone, especially as this warms, and the whole thing is sweet more than it is tangy i reckon, which all combined really make this a small doses thing for me. some elements to like, but i think this seems sort of more processed than the original, and i like it quite a bit less. it does blend out pretty cool though, we poured some in a lager at the taproom and that made it way more tolerable. neat effort, but not my favorite...
