After aging for 8 months in Woodford Reserve barrels, we finished this Morrigan variant with toasted almonds and sweet cherries.

A fun variant of the Morrigan for 2023; black pour on-tap with a viscous body and minimal head. All of the Morrigan notes of deep, dark roasted malts and complex oaked whiskey are there...the cherry profile is Maraschino bordering on Robitussin at times, but not off-putting to me. The almond and caramel flavors are nice, bringing a light sugary profile, and overall I think it works.
