a new to me pils in here, and again, ive said this before, for all the weird and gimmicky stuff they do here, they really do nail the basics about as well as anyone locally, and they seem to keep getting better, this is gorgeously well refined, refreshing and crushable for the emergent summer weather, and really impressed me overall. they had it listed at 4.5% abv when i was in the brewery this weekend. super tidy looking, really pale golden color with perfect clarity, frantic and consistent carbonation that really pops it off, and about an inch of wispy lasting white foam on top, fills the glass in a near stunning way. the aroma is simple and clean, a little bready crackery thing to the very fresh pils malt at the center of this, not dusty and weighty as some european examples can be, light without being neutral, a hard line to walk but its perfect in this, modest noble hop character, light citrus, and professional lagering evident here, and the flavor follows. good balance here but it is grain driven to me, despite being this light, love how clean the ferment is, but it definitely still hits like an authentic pils, this isnt a yellow american lager masquerading as a pils, its the genuine article. crisp and refreshing to drink, light bodied without being watery, faintly grassy hops before its all gone, and it also warms up well, which isnt always the case with these. a really fantastic effort here, and for all the adjuncty off the wall beers they make, its ones like this that actually make these guys a great brewery. a top local performer in this style space and a beer they should keep around permanently, its dialed!

Draft at Barbarian GC. Clear golden pour, thin but sturdy creamy white head, rings of lacing. Sweet, malty aroma, grainy. Taste is malty, sweet, full. Creamy feel. Really nice.
