355ml can poured into tulip. Looks like it's not quite retired.

Pours a hazy pale honey yellow with one finger of bone white head that leaves rocky arches of lace as it recedes.

Smells of lemon juice, sliced peaches, melon, pineapple chunks, unsalted crackers, sour cream and pleasant fruity hoppiness.

Tastes of somewhat muddled underripe tropical fruit, lemon juice, more crackery pale malt, sour cream and more fruity, flowery hops.

Feels soft and fluffy. Light bodied with finely frothy carbonation. Finishes off-dry.

Verdict: Highly recommended. This series is a pretty safe bet if you are thirsty.

12oz glass (what?) at Beer Revolution - denoted as a 'dry hopped kettle sour' here.

This beer appears a slightly hazy, very pale golden straw colour, with one skinny finger of puffy, densely foamy, and somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some attractive snow rime lace around the glass as things quickly sink away.

It smells of peppy tropical fruit (pineapple and peaches, predominately), grainy pale malt, a tame milky sourness, and some further earthy, leafy, and floral hop bitters. The taste is tart apples and underripe pineapple, a bready and crackery graininess, still lightly soured lactic notes, and a steady leafy, citrusy, and floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly understated in its plain and merely functional frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and mostly smooth - this sort of sourness not of the palate-destroying type. It finishes trending dry - the malt dipping, and the generally fruity tartness keeping it tight.

Overall, a pleasantly rendered application of this now seemingly hip brewing technique - just tart enough, with a genial fruity character pervading (from the robust dry hopping, I presume). Worth checking out, if you want to see what the (minor) fuss is all about.

What might be the first canned sour in AB brewing; managed a sneak-peek sip or two; colour is quite light, a bit hazy. Both the nose and taste are almost like a mixture of champagne and fuzzy peach candies (albeit rather dry fuzzy peach candies), with a bit of a milky sour backbone and some very fruity, fresh hopping. I'm into this one--I don't think I could drink a large quantity, but like Wild Rose's experiments in the style, it's a welcome addition to the AB brewing scene. And, according to the brewers, an experiment that will ultimately lead to goses and fruit sours and other beers galore.
