Collaboration with Nokomis Craft Ales (Nokomis, Saskatchewan) and Barn Hammer Brewing (Winnipeg, Manitoba).
Brewed in Lacombe by all 3 brewers it uses herbs native to our prairies—juniper and rose hips. Combined with the citrus and pine of the Chinook hops it offers a new dimension to a sour beer base. Named after the Nelson River—the waterway that every drop of rain or snowmelt from our 3 breweries back yards up in—it was more than anything an excuse to hang out and brew good beer with good people.
