Initially had at Blindman’s 4th Anniversary party in Lacombe, Alberta early last fall, leaving with several half litre bottles - now in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic and social isolation dipped into the cellar to help celebrate Easter.
Pours a very dark uniform brown with a good three fingers of creamy/tight bubbly tan head.
Aromas of raisin, dates, caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, slightly fruity and herbal.
Tastes of caramel covered raisin bread pudding, dates, brown sugar, notes of nutmeg, clove, and a touch of earthy hops balancing the sweetness.
Full creamy smooth mouth feel on moderately vigorous carbonation - sweet but not cloying and a nice warming effect from the 10%+ ABV. Delicious quad, competitive with some of the finest.

1400th review!
Appearance - Pours a cola brown with three fingers of foamy tan head.
Smell - earthy and leafy hops, bready malts, prune, fig, raisin, apple pie aromas, fruity esters, and earthy yeast .
Taste - earthy and leafy hops upfront. Then it goes quickly into the bready malts, prune, fig, raisin, apple pie aromas, and fruity esters. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes chewy with the malts, and fruity esters (prune, fig, raisin) lingering.
Overall - A stellar quad from Blindman to celebrate 4 years. This one is dangerously smooth considering the ABV. This brewery has really impressed me as of late. Cheers to continuing making quality brews!

500ml bottle poured into tulip.
Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with three puffy fingers of khaki head that leaves shattered windshield lace as it recedes.
Smells of prunes, figs and candied raisins, caramel pudding, apple pie, some root beer spiciness, banana and clove.
Tastes of caramel pecan tarts, more dried candied fruit, brown sugar, browning apple, more pepper, banana and clove.
Feels rich and creamy. Full bodied with velvety carbonation. Finishes sweet.
Verdict: Vigorously recommended. Congratulations to Blindman Brewery on their fourth year of producing excellent beer.
