Work vs. play. Wild vs. controlled. Thinking vs. feeling.
And with this foeder-aged Bohemian Pilsner- we’re going back to the literal source (Plzen) with this one - the old world and the new world.
Modern equipment, recipe design, and ingredients. Paired with the time-lost process of long maturation in beautiful, air-dried white oak foeders.
Showing the balance between the true craftsmanship of 1140 board feet of finger-jointed wood staves and the true science of our brewing lab. Allowing us to reinterpret revered classics without hewing to traditional nonsense. Giving us the freedom to strive for a simple truth: “whatever serves the beer best”.
Something well executed, well lagered and, well, delicious.

Duane's contribution is a new one to me. Copper colour and a grainy nose, the carbonation is just right and the mouthfeel is on point. The flavour is a bit strange. Caramel and sweetness hang around but for a lager it's a bit too sweet for me.

Beautiful clear golden yellow pour with 2 plus fingers of puffy white head.
Aroma is malty and bready, biscuit, there is a bit a of a floral note, almost a touch of smokiness, hint of oak barrel with muted hop presence.
Tastes of clean cereal malt, sweet bread, notes of the oak foeder - prevailing malt sweetness gives way at the finish to a bit of noble hop bitterness.
Crisp medium mouthfeel with active carbonation - easy drinking yet with character.
