From a 500 mL bottle, poured into a pint glass. Unusual from the get-go, in every way you can imagine.
The colour is almost pink. Next to my girlfriend's pink peach vodka cocktail, the colour is almost identical. Never seen a beer like it. No ingredients list on the back, so I'm left wondering if it's colouring or from some ingredients. The carbonation went absolutely insane after the pour, leaving only a one finger head which dissipated within seconds, like as though it were a soda pop.
The smell is pure champagne, with a hint of berries, like some sort of sparkling rosé, which is also what it looks like. If you handed me a pint of this blindfolded and I smelled it, I would guess it's some sort of champagne or prosecco. Would never guess beer.
Taste is distinctly champagne-like. Maybe like a strawberry champagne or something. Surprisingly not too sweet. The flavour is actually fairly mild. It reminds me of sparkling water with a bit of juice added, except you can taste the alcohol. Maybe it just tastes like watered-down flavoured champagne. Definitely doesn't taste like beer. No hint of malt or hops.
Feel - this is the least beer-like part. Very thin mouthfeel. It's refreshing, but left me unsatisfied.
Overall - not sure what Blindman was going for here, but I certainly wouldn't call it beer. Overall it's tasty and refreshing, but nothing about it says beer to me. It would be more fitting out in a four pack of skinny cans and marketed as a cocktail. Very womanly. Your wife or girlfriend might like it if she's not a big drinker. If you see it around, get it while you can and add a review so I'm not alone in here, and don't hesitate, because Blindman has a habit of retiring their products very quickly. This "beer" left me craving a real beer. About to go drink a Hofbräu Original.
