A collaboration between Blindman, Snake Lake, Craft Beer Commonwealth, and Valley Brewing.
Appearance - Pours a dark copper amber with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, piney, floral, and weedy hops, grapefruit peel, light pine resin, caramel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - mild earthy, leafy, piney, floral, and weedy hops. The grapefruit peel is light alongside the pine resin. The caramel, bready malts, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carobnation. Finishes slighty sticky with the mild hops and malts lingering.
Overall - A disappointing brew that loses its identity in the taste. I was hoping for more flavour considering the caliber of brews these breweries deliver. To me, this tastes like an English APA and is more of a gateway brew for those that are interested in the craft beer scene.
