Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours motor oil black with pretty much zero head. The nose is fantastic - tons of bourbon comes through immediately. Vanilla, brown sugar, booze, slight black licorice, and some amazing dark fruit notes.
The taste is super smooth. Maybe it's the 2 years of age, but this is super nicely integrated. Perfect balance of bourbon, vanilla, and roasted malts. Still some nice bitterness, but it doesn't overpower. Nothing does. Just mingles nicely. Blackberries, toffee, dark bread, and slight maple.
Mouthfeel is thick bodied with a roasty aftertaste. Great stout.

Knob Creek bourbon barrels.
Pours an opaque black with a half finger of reddish tan head.
Nose is caramel with big notes of vanilla, graham cracker, some chocolate, oak and bourbon.
Sweet and a little bit boozy on the palate without being hot - again caramel, brown sugar, graham cracker and a good dose of vanilla - a bit of milk chocolate giving a s’mores effect; hints of the woody barrel and smooth bourbon.
Full yet not thick or oily mouthfeel - boozy warmth, sweet but not cloying - smooth and exceptionally easy to drink.
