We like hoppy beers, and you like hoppy beers, right? Well, once a year we get to make a special hoppy beer with beautiful, fresh hops that we pick directly off the bines from the Hop To It farm. We harvest them and put them directly into our brewhouse, mere hours after they are picked.
This year we used our Longshadows IPA as inspiration and made a slightly smaller version of it to let the fresh hops shine.
A nice crisp ale with all the freshness of a few hundred pounds of beautiful whole cone hops is a special beer indeed for us.

Two minds with this beer - it is super easy to drink, refreshing as all get out, but not sure blind (no pun intended) I would have picked it out as an IPA, let alone a fresh hop - but it is really tasty….
Beautiful crystal clear pale golden pour with 2-3 fingers of foamy/creamy white head.
Pale malt/cereal and a touch grainy on the nose - floral and slightly fruity.
Grassy and slightly sweet cereal malt on the palate, again a touch floral with a soft herbal bitterness.
Crisp and bright light mouthfeel - nice brisk carbonation - very easy to drink but honestly felt more like drinking a hoppy lager/IPL than wet hop IPA.
