Blindman's 4th and last in the Longweekender Series is a bolder version of their award winning Cascadian Dark Ale. Roast from the dark Rocky Mountain and Chocolate 500 malts from Red Shed Malting combine with the resinous piney hop character of Centennial, Northern Brewery and Simcoe hops. Balanced, bold, beautiful.

Single can - long weekender series celebrating last long weekend of the summer….
Pours a clear black with two fingers of creamy brown head.
Aroma is piney and resinous, citrus (honestly with eyes closed initially would have thought a west coast IPA), before notes of roasty malt and a touch of chocolate hit the nose.
Taste follows with resinous pine, grapefruit and some roastiness, dark chocolate and a backend earthy bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation - less chewy than I expected - quite easy to drink, with a lingering soft piney earthy bitterness.
