Sampling a cold 16 oz can poured into my tumbler. Picked up at a local beer shop in Alberta.
Packaged on 4/05/2025 according to the date stamp.
The beer pours a rich cola brown, with a creamy kakhi colored dense head of 1 cm. This foam fades to a sturdy surface covering and leaves dense clingy lattice on my glass. The surface covering lasts throughout the sampling.
Aroma is roasted malts and dark chocolate mixing with some piney hops. No hints of the booze.
First sip reveals a medium to light body with smooth texture and fine rolling carbonation. Beer drinks pretty easy.
Flavor is more of what the nose predicts with roasted malts and some high % cacao notes. Mixed in with piney hop note that lingers on the finish. Slightly dry on the finish and the hops linger long after each swallow.
This isnt a style I buy on the regular, but this one is hitting the spot tonight.
Glad to have purchased this one
