16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 4/5/2016. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, lightly toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, lightly toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, lightly toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright bright citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp/sticky, lightly creamy/grainy, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.2%. Overall this is an excellent IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright bright citrus/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. Even with the 4+ month can dating, this still tastes really fresh and bright on the hop flavors. A really delicious offering.

In Detroit last week and came across this excellent representation of IPA. I'm from California so I felt like I was back on the west coast with this one, although made from Michigan hops and made well. Great nose and mouth and easily sessionable. Wish I had some more now that I'm back home. This is the full monty without overdoing it like some of the doubles and imperials. Well done.
