16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 4/14/2016. Pours hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate yeast spiciness and herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very nice witbier. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. I think they used a saison yeast for this as well, making it a bit unique for the style; and maybe a bit dryer too. A very enjoyable offering.
