Thanks Steve.
Can to mug.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color with a thin white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly roaming lace ran here and there.
The aroma had a nice healthy blend of roasted malt, super light coffee, some ash/char and then a little bit of smoke. Mild dark chocolate.
The flavor was roughly sweet with an embracing sort of bitterness and sly rugged sort of dark breadiness to it. Mild aftertaste of the roasted malts and coffee.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good, somewhat low. ABV felt appropriate with a nice absorbing sort of malt smoothness to it.
Overall, pretty nice as an English porter, though I was hoping for some of those "sweetened dark fruits" I normally find in this style. Still, I'd have again if I could get it.

Pours dark brown with a small, creamy, light tan head that doesn't last long.
Smells coffee, chocolate, light char and roasted malt.
Tastes chocolate and light coffee with hints of vanilla. Dry finish with a lingering of roasted malt and coffee. Lighter medium body and fizzy higher medium carbonation

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 10/12/2015. Pours hazy very dark brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, light coffee/nuttiness, plum, apple, herbal, light pepper, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, light coffee/nuttiness, plum, apple, herbal, light pepper, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, plum, apple, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness, that lightly increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice English porter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
