On-tap at Capital Ale House, Richmond, VA
A: The beer is essentially jet black in color—only traces of dark red are visible near the glass when it is held up to the light.
S: Light roams of roasted malts are preset in the nose.
T: The taste has light to moderate flavors of coffee bans along with hints of roasted malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very airy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. The coffee beans also lend a bit of dryness to the finish.
O: This beer is easy to drink. I really liked the coffee bean flavors in the taste.
Serving type: on-tap

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had a deep, dark brown color and an opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white head that lasted an average amount of time. So-so lacing.
S: A kind of underwhelming aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and hops.
T: Tasted of a tinge of milk chocolate (could have used more), some roasted malt (present throughout), light hops in the finish, and a fair amount of coffee. Like the aroma, the flavor was a bit on the thin side. Some of the elements (i.e., the advertised coffee) aren't as well-represented as they should be. Not a bad flavor, though.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a dry, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is one of those beers that seems unfinished. Not bad, but could've been better.

Coffee nose and taste. Light body. Black with lite tan head. Overall a lite roast malt stout that drinks more like a porter. A "session" coffee stout at 4.6 ABV.
