L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A slightly muted aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a bit of citrus fruit (grapefruit, in particular), a big dose of hops (a big factor here), light malt (mostly in the finish), and some tropical fruit (pineapple, especially). Kind of an out of balance flavor. It's generously hopped (to say the least), but lacks the requisite amount of fruit to offset the bitterness.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a dry, bitter finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: Not terrible, but could've been better.

Out of all the IPA I have drank and that is many this is the best. I very much enjoy the bitter finish and the lack of malt taste.

They have since replaced the Hop Drone w/ Citra to the flagship Hop Drone and that was a very good idea IMHO. The Citra was one of the best IPAs I've had and by moving it over will keep it a year round growler fill!
A- gorgeous golden copper
S - Big notes of citrus & fresh flowers. Definitely can tell the citra hop has been used in dry hopping. It plays incredibly well with the hoppy taste.
T- Wonderful bite on the foretaste, smooth in the middle, and then the bitterness on the back end. Not overpowering but enough to remind you that you are drinking an IPA. It has a really good light malt profile as well. Citra all over the place from the smell (ok so that is definitely influencing taste here): piney, sweet, & citrusy. At 6.5%, zero alcohol coming through.
M- Bubbly, warmth, feel like i just brushed my teeth.
O- This is a really (yeah i'm going to call it like I see it) West Coast IPA. After going a few weeks without one and coming back to it fresh brought a smile to my face.
This is my go to beer and Wednesday's @ PRN are half priced growlers. Yep, thats $6 for this beer fresh - best deal on the planet hands down. Please do not change anything about that or this beer or I will cry tears of sadness.
