Had this beer by Breton brewing co in Sydney Cape Breton over the holidays on tap at the Governor. It was described to me as a wheat rye ale though I'm not sure on the details or actual name so if anyone knows please post. I created the beer profile with the info I had and best guesses.
My notes were these.
Appearance is a Cloudy golden honey colour much like a hefeweizen. A Thick inch of head stands on top and Good lacing throughout the drink.
Aroma is Sweet, peachy and spicy a clear character of the rye. Also Apple and banana.
Taste comes like a hefe with Banana. Cinnamon. Coriander. Nutmeg. Super spicy. Brown spotted banana even, the kind that is one day from going off. Slight sourness.
Thick and creamy in the mouth.
Overall very good with excellent baking spices and warm fruit complexity. Imagine this as the sexy offspring of a spicy rye ale and a classic hefeweizen- just as advertised.
