I liked this one just a touch more than Exile. Perhaps a touch smoother & lighter on bitterness while being higher in ABV. Similar pleasing hop flavours with a little less grapefruit. Enjoyable.

Hard to find a better DIPA. Enjoyed from an unfiltered brewing chalice/goblet after a devouring a rack of lamb and a decent ripasso...
looks as it should but the etching from the glass produced a mesmerizing lavalamp of carbonation in the centre of the glass. Decent head, lacings and carbonation, especially considering the sample was from a 1l snarl.
aroma was papaya and red grapefruit over breast malt. Taste was much the same with some nuttiness and caramel from the yeast and or malt.
Quite drinkable. medium bodied, and balanced for a 100+ibu beverage with 8% abv. Slight stripping of the palate from the tasty hops. Well worth getting your hands on if you can.

Whopper of a double ipa. Had at Nook and Cranny in Truro. Looked like a dark stout coming to me with a big head. Nice and malty but a lot of good hitting you. First time for me for this brewery ...nice stuff

On tap at vices & versus. In a word, not at all the best beer i have had from this brewer. Some lace on orange body. Very boozy. More hop flavour than other dipas i have had recently but a sipper not a smooth drinker. Dry finish

A nice, strong double IPA, that is not any better than others that excel in this class. The measure is still Heady Topper and this one is still not good enough.
Still, worth the buzz.
