Opaque black color. Thick creamy and frothy light brown 4 finger head in a willibecher, lasting around 15 minutes, with decent legs and swirl reaction. Flavors of dark grains, coffee, orange, lemon, toffee, and herbal hops. Oily medium body with a moderate crisp. Strong strength finish, earthy and deep roasted with dense leafy notes. Spicy clove tongue coat while a bit zesty. The body doesn't hold up well, and freshness is mediocre. Lacks a bit of balance. Overall average quality craft.

Coal black with a strong head with lacing. Pine and citrus hops on the nose. Fine so far. Super smooth chocolate malt body. Very malty finish, not so hoppy. Tasty but not to style. I would call it an American Stout.
