Very dark, but not pitch black..
Brown head, but takes a fairly aggressive pour.
Smell of vanilla, cinnamon, coffee, cocoa, sweet syrup and an evil hint of Bhut Jolokia.
Taste is great - cocoa and coffee is bitter and sweet, cinnamon gives a deep flavour and the Ghost pepper empowers the taste and feel of the beer.
Thick and sticky mouthfeel due to the syrup. Low to medium carbonation makes for a very drinkable beer.
12% alcohol is very well hidden!
I’m surpriced that the Bhut is so hidden. I feared drinking this beer but the heat is almost not there. Pity.
Bhut-hurt will not leave my backside on fire tomorrow, but it will leave me wanting more! Great beer, artwork truly enjoyable and the wax on the bottle gives a too cool look.
