Just like It’s non-barrel aged version this beer is dark brown but a bit of light is allowed through. Light brown head and a sticky lacing on the glass.
Smells very nice, vanilla and cinnamon, bit of chocolate and just a slight hint of chilipepper.
The barrel-aging comes through in the taste. Smokey sweet and vanilla. Not as bitter as the original and it hides the 14% abv insanely good.
So easy to drink. Light, well carbonated good mouthfeel.
I would love for this one to be more demanding, but on the other hand this is a really wellmade well aged brew.
