Just had this beer again, this time at the brewery. It has a nice light mouthfeel and sparkling carbonation. Easy drinking and flavorful. This is one of their flagship beers. Pours a light golden color with a small head. It has a cereal, and grain malt flavor with a nice hop balance. Originally rated in 2018. 20 IBUs Rated 10-25-2023

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Finally a true to style kölsch beer from the States. Pale yellow with high, frothy head.Head subsides somewhat but enough remains to provide a nice cap to the beer. Fine, lively carbonation. Grainy, bready nose. taste brings a hint of lemon zest with some minor sweetness, light maltiness, biscuits. Very small hops snap at the finish. Pretty tasty and light in feel.

draught
Very lightly headed. Clear, golden amber hue. Restrained, floral hop and light toast barley malt aroma, Subtle, light toasted barley malt that has a caramelized note to it, and some floral hop character to it, as well and a bit of a pilsner hop bite that fades before the subtly malty finish.

Appearance: This one pours a nice golden color with a slight haze and about a fingers worth of head.
Aroma: Lemon zest, grassy faint grain and a little bit of biscuit.
Taste: Very crisp upfront. Lemon zest, buttery, biscuity. And a good balance of floral and citrus hop.
Overall: Certainly a buy again to start.
So nice and crisp. Cheers.

12oz can (dated 6/13/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very cloudy yellow color, with 2/3 inch of white head that very quickly dissipated and left no lacing.
The aroma had the basic earthy grains and soft hops of the style. On the tongue, the beer started out the same, but there was an unexpected caramel sweetness that distracted from the flavor.
The body was thicker than is typical, and had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was fine, but not as enjoyable good as other local examples. Overall, a nice brew, but not among the better ones I've had.

Another fine Washington State Kölsch--I'm beginning to think there is a secret community of Kölner here, maybe midgets, maybe supernatural, making this fine, fine stuff.

Look: Straw yellow and clear with a white, pillowy head that pulls back to 1-finger leaving good lacing
Aroma: Crackery malt and floral hops dance in tango with a whole lot of fruity and floral notes moving seamlessly in and out of the frame
Taste: Crackers and biscuits immediately met with the fruity and floral notes intermingling – follows the nose well. Super crisp and though it finishes with some of the same fruity/floral taste, the crispness brings no doubt to the lagering of this one
Mouthfeel: Clean and crisp – simple and sweet. Personally, hitting everything I look for and forward to in the style
Overall: This stuff is really tasty! Hits all the right notes of a Kolsch for me and one of my favorite styles overall when done well – and this one is. I have only had a couple beers from these folks so far but this will EASILY be a go-to of mine for the coming warmer months.

Semi clear light straw yellow with a soap sudsy foam. Decent lacing.
Simple and wonderful grain and grass in both aroma and flavor.
Crisp and spritzy as it should be, yet still feels a bit watery.
4s across the board. A well deserved GABF medal winner. Cheers.

Aroma is bready with a touch of lemon. Aggressive pour, tall, thick white head, receding fairly rapidly, leaving some lacing, ending with a thin cap and ring. Pale golden yellow, clear, rising carbonation bubbles. Nice looking Kölsch. Tingly mouth feel. Taste is lemon with bready malts. The lemon in the taste is much more prominent than in the aroma. Through the middle and finish, there is light bittering and the appropriate level for the style. The finish and aftertaste is also very slightly sour, again as is typical for the style. An excellent German-style Kölsch.

A fresh looking, clear and lightly effervescent pour, light gold / amber. A pleasant aroma of bread yeast. Taste is malt-forward, a light touch for an ale with a pronounced but pleasant hop bitterness and refreshing. A bit on the dry side, which is nice. Well-done.

Poured into a Sester stange. Pours a light to medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to thick patches with light lacing. Aroma of grainy and bready malt, light lemon and toffee, nice for the style. Flavor follows with husky grain malt, light lemon, grassy hops with a little hint of caramel in the finish, which is dry overall with lingering grassy hops and grain. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. A good domestic take on this style. The aroma is spot on and the flavor has a fine balance of grainy malt and mildly grassy hops appropriate for a kolsch. A little bit thin in the middle, but this is not an assertive style. Fine finish.
