On tap at the brewery.
A deep reddish pink with a thin, white head, this looks decent. The nose is a very nice expression of the fruit, a blend of fresh cherries and tart cranberries. A touch of grain, along with some lactic acid is present, but really, the focus here is the fruit. This is especially clear on the palate, where the simpler characteristics of a kettle soured beer ( a relatively simple lactic tartness with minimal funk) is offset, quite brilliantly, by a wonderful balance of fruity and sweet red cherries and the tannins and acidity of cranberries. Tart and clean on the finish, this beer is light in body and really refreshing. Impressive.
