Reviewed from (very) long-standing notes. Poured from the 22 oz. bottle into an El Catador teku glass.

A: Mildly hazy bright gold, with a half-finger of white head that lasts very nicely. A good amount of visible carbonation.

S: Sour - lactic acid, some vinous and maybe a touch of acetic acid. Citric acid, lemons and apricots, and the white wine character. Oak tannins. Mild spiciness from the oak, and vanilla as well.

T: Follows the nose. Lactic and citric tartness, again with a touch of acetic sourness. Vinous and dried apricots. Cracker malts. Oak tannins and quite a bit of vanilla. Lemon tartness and citric acid swell up again. Lactic dryness and a mild funk right at the end.

M: A light body, low alcohol presence. The carbonation sensation is a bit lower than expected but not to the point where it detracts for me.

O: Good, but not my favorite. And I don’t think as good as #2. But still, a dry vinous balanced sour with nice woody character. Just a little less funk and more sweet woody character than would be my preference.

650 mL bottle. Clear golden body. Medium white head. Smells of oak, wine, a little stone fruit. Tastes sour, oaky, strong white wine. More stone fruit. Long oaky finish. Medium body. Pretty straightforward golden sour, which is notable as I don't often have a very good straightforward golden sour.
