Coming in a 500ml clear bottle. BB 31 DEC 06, consumed on 07 FEB 07, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: dark golden to pale amber hue, hazy, with a clear trace of sediments in the bottle; poured without much beer head, very gentle in fizziness.
S: a mildly skunky note of clear bottled beer, boiled root vegie, honey drink, a sticky note of melted rock sugar, along with very little input of hops.
T: melted-sugary pale malts sit on top of very mild citric fruitiness of Golding hops, quickly leading towards a dryish finish and a rusty feel on the mouthfeel.
M&D: although the appearance looks pretty stable, the carbonation in fact is quite lively on the mouthfeel, a bit too much for a thin-flavoured and thin-bodied ale like this. Overall, this is not a good beer at all, and I don't suspect it's to due with the expiration issue.
