This beer pays homage to the beer style developed in Burton and exported to the rest of the world - a traditional British IPA. This beer delivers a sweet honey aroma with hints of apricot and crisp citrus notes on the palate. A limited edition of 32,000 numbered bottles.

Bottled and definitely bottle conditioned and purchased as a Waitrose grocery delivery to treat myself
Pours a slightly hazy apricot coloured body with decent enough white head
Aroma is golden syrup and peach
Some lychee & caramel in the flavour slight prickle of peppery bitterness
Low key carbonation that works and it hides its 7.4% strength well

Bottle conditioned. Clear golden amber. This wispy head.
Richly perfumed aroma of fruity English hops.
Caramel toffee upon tasting. Mild apple crumble without the sweetness. A tannin like bitter finish. Somewhat earthy. Alcohol noticeable. No Marston yeast flavour thank goodness.
Moderate body. Mellow carbonation.
Pleased that Marston have attempted this. A very good version of a traditional EIPA.

L- Mid amber, clear*. Quite low visible carbonation, pours with a 1-2mm white head that is swiftly a thin small patch in the middle, plus some minor rising CO2.
S- Mild honey aroma. (I DO have typical summer congestion, so sense of smell = poor right now).
T- Woah, this is right up there among the big beasts for packing flavour. I get hoppy-dry, meaty malty middle, and then right at the tail - Boom! the 7.4% comes through with a bang. (My wife who tastes hops/bitterness more accutely than me, gets rich-meaty middle > hoppy finish).
F- Pungent, full-flavoured, a 'winter warmer' or dessert-beer, it's rich and deep and something to savour slowly. Carbonation might be low to the eye, but seems very good in the mouth, so no worries there.
O- Wow. I'm came across this beer totally by chance today in Waitrose (London), and it's amazing. This deserves to be in the top-20 of my 500+ Beers so far. I don't see anything out of place here, it's a gloves-off big bold statement of an IPA. It's not cheap, but I'm not surprised, either way I don't think I'd wish to drink more than one of them a night, it's too good and pretty full-on. It comes with the bottle in a very stylish looking cardboard box. Inside which the equally stylish bottle (FWIW mine was numbered no. 12043) has lable notes plus a long double-sided neck tag; so it comes with a lot of info on what this beer is. The style/packaging/price etc remind me of the similar (to me) Fuller's Vintage Ale, also a wonderful beast.
What a lovely beer, bravo to Marston's
Bought from Waitrose London, £4/500ml BB 30/June/2020
*Bottle-conditioned, so suggested to handle/pour with care.
