Brown 500ml bottle best before 31 Dec 2008, drank Sep 2008.
Poured into a half pint tumbler a couple of times.
Large tan head at first, this soon shrank to a wisp and coller. The body of the beer was an old gold colour and dull, even when held up to the light.
Typical English beery smell of hops and barley malts, some mixed fruits as well (maybe).
A dry bitterness hits your mouth, it is both sharp and refreshing, this beer has a lot of character for a 3.8% bitter.
There was a malty aftertaste that held my attention for a while and it is full bodied and fairly interesting. Not bad at all.
