L- Rich amber, clear, pours with 2mm white cap.
S- Smells of hipster. Or rather, of exotic fruits.
T- Pretty hoppy-dry on the front, then that hipster spectrum of fruit notes.
F- Mercifully at 7.4% the beer has a pair and the meaty feel saves the day.
O- A DDHIPA yet the exotic fruit notes do not overwhelm it. I bought this out of curiosity rather than being a DDHIPA fan - I'm not. If you're super-trad you might want to skip this one. I'll have no problem finishing it but wouldn't buy it again, I don't need a 'fruit-cocktail' going on in my glass.
500ml bottle £4. 'Number 21997' FWIW. Bought from Waitrose London BB: 31/03/2022
Now I'll read the lable and see if there is anything of note to mention... Bottle conditioned, 'Paying tribute to the new generation, heavily hopped American IPA style developed in New England. Enjoy bursts of grapefruit, passion fruit, peach and mango'... etc. Oak aged

Bottle conditioned. Labelled as DDHIPA. Clear golden amber with a wispy head.
Fruity hops emanate from the surface. Orange blossom, grapefruit and lychee. Grain present.
The taste is a cacophony of tropical flavours that reaches a dry finish. The malt provides balance.
A soft carbonation highlights the booze.
Enjoying another decent effort by Marston's in their Horninglow series. Drunk at cellar temperature but deserves lower.

Jan 2021 edit. Cellared. The reduced hop capacity has produced a mellowed flavour remeniscent of a boozy Fuller's ESB. Nice.
